Logan -

I've applied your patch.  I had to make one small additional change.

I've sending you a separate email containing my version of generateDS.py
and a diff from version 2.7b, in case you want to compare.

I'll upload a new version in a week or two, when I've had time
to do some more testing.

Thanks for your help with this.

If anyone else needs a version that can export compressed files
(exported without ignorable white space), let me know, and I
send a copy.
