Mikki, I did a little more investigation and testing. There is a recent change that is related to get_valueOf_, but I believe that specific change only affects to_etree, the optional generation of lxml element trees. So, now, again, I can make a fresh clone of the Bitbucket repository and run the tests (tests/test.py) in that repository without errors. Since I do not know what the unexpected behavior of get_valueOf_ you are seeing nor what behavior you *did* expect, I can't tell whether this version gives you what you want or expect.
