Hi,

Thanks for responding.

I'd got as far as the 'Kernel memory management' section of the Options/Advanced tab,
and checked the documentation for this but didn't find it clear - *Initial Chunks* -
OK - the starting No of 'mbuf chunks', *Chunk* - OK - when additional mbufs are
required, they are allocated this many at a time:- on my system, *Initial Chunks*= 2,
*Chunks*= 64, so at start-up, I have 128 mbufs and if more are required, they will be
added 64 at a time.

*Cluster size* - is this the size of the mbuf in bytes? *Cluster Chunks* - 'Number
of clusters to allocate at a time' ? how does this work in the context of the *Chunk*
value? I can't see a need for this param if we've got the mbuf size, the initial no
of mbufs and the increment value, so I must be missing something here (ignorant in
other words).

There's also the *Max memory* setting. On my system, this is set to 256. There is no
mention of this setting in my docs - I would guess that this is the max memory to be
used for mbufs in Kb.

I haven't got any info on the *TCP buffer size* settings (Send= 8192, Receive= 8192)
in the docs either.

I could have just tried upping some of these values but decided to heed the warning in
the docs about changing these settings without understanding them, at least until I'd
tried the list.

Thanks in advance for any forthcoming help/explanations.
