I bought NetConnect2 close to 1 month ago and now i had the time to install
it... :)
Only one problem, please forgive me if is a known problem (I first tried to
look for a solution into FAQs and so on without finding anything, but...)
The question is: Is possible to disable the PPP/LCP? With my provider (Me
:]), using a Telebit MicaBlazer as Access Server, as soon as the MICA
refuses the LCP protocol, the connection is dropped. If you want i may send
the debug log...
Unfortunately, it seems there's no way to activate LCP on the ISP side (I
looked into the Mica's manual). Normally (=Using Windows 9x, Mac and NT -
Even if under NT you may disable LCP. Miami works, too :]) the mica says (On
the console) "LCP protocol not allowed, please do not use this protocol"
(Something like that, i don't remember precisely, the client goes on
without using it and all is working fine. But it seems that appp does want
it... :) Or am i doing something wrong?
Another: is possible to force CHAP instead of PAP/CHAP? This one because,
still connecting with our access server, if Genesis first tries the PAP the
login fails. I had to create a new account PAP-only... :)
