Hi, I've managed to get my Amiga (fitted with an Ariadne II) talking
to my PC through a small Ethernet hub. I can ping in both directions
and I can use FTP on the PC to connect to the Amiga and so on.
At the moment both machines have modems to connect to the Internet but
the Amiga has a faster one so I'd like to get the PC to use the Amiga
as a socks server.
I thought I had the software set up correctly and indeed, during
requests from IE4 on the PC I can see network traffic and brief modem
activity, but nothing happens after that.
Does anyone have this sort of set up working? I'd be grateful to know
exactly how you have both the Amiga and PC sides configured.
