Hello list, I am working on porting libuv right now, which is the event loop backend for Node.js, though I need libuv for different project. I had looked a little into porting Node, but after using the language I am less than ethusiastic about it. However, if there someone else who is interested in coordinating on a Node port then now would be a good time. The V8 javascript engine looks like it may be less effort than libuv, with that and libuv out of the way Node may not be too difficult.
