Hello,

The file contains information for all cDNA sequences, which include
genbank-based tracks for EST and mRNA data (including the "other" tracks when
present). This table is very large - it performs badly or fails completely when
part of a Table browser query due to the size, for species such as mouse and
human where there is a lot of data (even when gathering data per chromosome).
You will need to ftp the file from Downloads and write your own utility to do
the filtering on the species column. It sounds like you may already have
something like this started.

Hope this explains the data,
Jennifer
