Hello, I will put you in contact with our coordinator who can make arrangements for a review of your data. I am also pointing you to a similar existing track so that you can review it, see how this type of data is currently modeled in the UCSC Browser (you may select this format for your data as well), and make your own comparisons to determine the added value of your dataset.
--- current dataset ---- Data of a similar type is already included in the Human Mar. 2006 (hg18) assembly, track group = mRNA and EST Tracks, track short label = CGAP SAGE. The newest release, Human GRCh37 (hg19) assembly, is still undergoing development. If there is data that you would like to map from one genome to another yourself, the liftOver tool may be helpful. You can use the browser version for smaller datasets or download the executable and chain.over mapping files to convert entire tracks. Then, load back the results as a custom track (and save into a Session). http://genome.ucsc.edu/goldenPath/help/hgTracksHelp.html#Convert Thanks, Jennifer ------------------------------------------------ Jennifer Jackson UCSC Genome Bioinformatics Group ----- [email protected] wrote: > From: [email protected] > To: [email protected] > Sent: Wednesday, December 9, 2009 8:45:09 AM GMT -08:00 US/Canada Pacific > Subject: [Genome] Transcription start sites / CAGE and SAGE data > > Hi > > Would it possible for you to add to the tracks of genome browser the > Cap- > analysis gene expression (CAGE and SAGE) data collected by RIKEN Wako > Institute > in Japan? > > These data provide info about multiple transcription start sites ofa a > given > gene > > Examples of publications > > Shiraki, T., Kondo, S., Katayama, S., Waki, K., Kasukawa, T., Kawaji, > H., > Kodzius, R., Watahiki, A., Nakamura, M., Arakawa, T., et al.
