Hello Michela,
By the default, custom tracks are not visible to others, only to the
machine that uploaded them. You can make them visible to others by
following the instructions here:
http://genome.ucsc.edu/goldenPath/help/hgTracksHelp.html#SHARE

Custom tracks are maintained on our servers for 48 hours after they are
lasted used.

If you would like to have more constant access, you can create a mirror
of our site. You can read about the mirror procedures here:
http://genome.ucsc.edu/admin/mirror.html

You would then be able to to upload and maintain your custom track for
as long as you wish. Specifically, to do this you would have to change
the "cleaner" program. You can read more about it and custom track
management in a mirror here:
http://genomewiki.cse.ucsc.edu/index.php/Using_custom_track_database#Cleaner_script

I hope this is what you need. Please feel welcome to ask us if you have
further inquiries.
