To whom it may concern:

We have completed a project in which we did Solexa sequencing of cDNAs
isolated from An. gambiae mosquito midguts infected with P. falciparum. We
are in the process of analyzing the data using the UCSC Genome Browser. It
is a great resource, as it allows us to visualize the frequency of sequence
matches throughout the genome. However, we are having problems identifying
the genes of interest, because the version of the genome annotation in the
UCSC Genome Browser is outdated.

Anopheles gambiae
The version in UCSC browser (anoGam1) was released in Feb. 2003 the current
available version is AgamP3.5, that was released in September 2009.

I would like to know if it would be possible to update the information in
the browser, as it is a critical tool to analyze high throughput data. This
would greatly benefit the Vector Biology Community. I would be grateful for
any assistance or suggestions you could provide us.

Best regards,

Carolina
