Specifically, these README files detail the process: src/hg/makeDb/trackDb/README src/product/README.trackDb Examples in: src/hg/makeDb/trackDb/trackDb.ra The main point is to create an html file for the track and place it in the src/makeDb/trackDb/ hierarchy. Modify the trackDb.ra file for that assembly then run make to rebuild the tables. The README files describe various options to customize (use of variables, external urls). For an example, pick a track that has a similar description to the one you want to create, examine the trackDb.ra content and the xxx.html and use that as a template along with the content in the README files.
