Dear Jennifer, I also experience this problem. I recieve a "floating point exception" when running the program without parameters. I have included some specifications of the the server I'm running the script on:
Downloaded (on 25/05/2010) liftOver from : hgdownload.cse.ucsc.edu/admin/exe/linux.x86_64/ <http://hgdownload.cse.ucsc.edu/admin/exe/linux.x86_64/> Also tried : bedToBigBed (same error) System: - uname -a : Linux 2.6.16.21-0.8-smp #1 SMP Mon Jul 3 18:25:39 UTC 2006 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux - /etc/SuSE-release: SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 10 (x86_64) VERSION = 10 - gcc -v : Using built-in specs. Target: x86_64-suse-linux Configured with: ../configure --enable-threads=posix --prefix=/usr --with-local-prefix=/usr/local --infodir=/usr/share/info --mandir=/usr/share/man --libdir=/usr/lib64 --libexecdir=/usr/lib64 --enable-languages=c,c++,objc,fortran,java,ada --enable-checking=release --with-gxx-include-dir=/usr/include/c++/4.1.0 --enable-ssp --disable-libssp --enable-java-awt=gtk --enable-gtk-cairo --disable-libjava-multilib --with-slibdir=/lib64 --with-system-zlib --enable-shared --enable-__cxa_atexit --enable-libstdcxx-allocator=new --without-system-libunwind --with-cpu=generic --host=x86_64-suse-linux Thread model: posix gcc version 4.1.0 (SUSE Linux) What I can do (but is hard to use in scripts): - I have an Ubuntu Hardy Heron CHROOT installed on the system. Using the same scripts inside this environment does work without a problem.
