Hi,

I am using UCSC genome browser to investigate the possible meaning of a SNP
I found with target resequencing of a region. I chose the "base"
visualization and I noticed some weird thing. The one I am attaching is only
one example. If you look at the grey rows (that I think are the three
possible frames) you see that for example the SNP in the 135795890 position
may be in the second position of an ACT codon (coding for T), a first
position of a CTT codon (coding for L) and in the third position of another
codon coding for N. If you look to the UCSC genes track you see that there
is an S...so, what is the meaning of the grey rows that appeared when you
select the full visualization? WHat is the correct info? The S or all the
other possibilities? When the goal is to understand the possible drawbacks
of a new SNPs is very important to be sure what you are looking at.

Thanks a lot
