Dear Xie, It appears that Ensembl is speculating (with the ?) that Papio hamadryas is in the same subfamily, Cercopithecinae, as Macaca mulatta. I would suggest contacting Ensembl to find out what they mean by the ?. Other sources, such as the Taxonomy browser at NCBI, also have them under the same subfamily.
You can see the NCBI lineage at: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/Taxonomy/Browser/wwwtax.cgi?mode=Info&id=9557&lvl=3&keep=1&srchmode=1&unlock&lin=s http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/Taxonomy/Browser/wwwtax.cgi?mode=Info&id=9544&lvl=3&keep=1&srchmode=1&unlock&lin=s To learn more about how the our image (http://genome.ucsc.edu/images/phylo/hg19_46way.gif) was generated, please see our wiki page: http://genomewiki.ucsc.edu/index.php/Human/hg19/GRCh37_46-way_multiple_alignment If this doesn't answer your question, I would recommend consulting the appropriate scientific literature to get the latest taxonomic information. If you have further questions, please contact the mailing list. I want to know which one is right. Thanks very much!
