I think you are the first to have every thought of it. I don't know how useful it would be. If you have any success, let us know how it goes.
Note that with this syntax /path/file.2bit:seqid you are just limiting it to one target sequence. But with this syntax /path/file.2bit:seqid:start-end you are pulling out a region whose coordinates will now be 0 to (end-start) and the blat output will thus require lifting back up to the original coordinates by adding "start". -Galt On 08/04/10 09:41, Lucas Swanson wrote: > Hello, > > When using the standalone blat command line program, it is possible to > specify a subregion of the target to search, as so: > /path/file.2bit:seqid:start-end > > Is there any way to do the same thing when using gfClient to query a > gfServer? > > ~Thanks, > Lucas > _______________________________________________ > Genome maillist - [email protected] > https://lists.soe.ucsc.edu/mailman/listinfo/genome _______________________________________________ Genome maillist - [email protected] https://lists.soe.ucsc.edu/mailman/listinfo/genome
