Dear UCSC Folks, I have downloaded the known genes table from the UCSC genes track for the hg18 genome release. I noticed that there are only 11 genes in this track. According to my information the mitochondria should have 13 protein coding genes, 22 tRNAs, and 2 rRNAs. Also, there are even less mitochondrial genes in the known genes track for mouse(m9). Is there a reason for the discrepancy are mitochondrial genes not supported by the browser?
