Hello Esti, The CDS attribute from GenBank is stored in the 'cds' table. The 'gbCdnaInfo' table connects the GenBank identifier with the CDS annotation.
Here is a previously-answered question that goes into more detail: http://www.soe.ucsc.edu/pipermail/genome/2008-August/017033.html This is for 5'UTRs and the sequences in refMrna.fa.gz, but you can use the same approach for 3'UTRs and the mrna.fa.gz file. -- Brooke Rhead UCSC Genome Bioinformatics Group Esti Kummer wrote: > Hello, > How can I find the 3'UTR region in the mRNA sequences from the > *mrna.fa*file (from the DOWNLOADS)? > Is this information available in your tables? > > Thanks in advance, > Esti > _______________________________________________ > Genome maillist - [email protected] > http://www.soe.ucsc.edu/mailman/listinfo/genome _______________________________________________ Genome maillist - [email protected] http://www.soe.ucsc.edu/mailman/listinfo/genome
