Hello Abde Nowa, D5S1470 is an STS marker. You can find it by pasting this identifier into the "position or search item" box. Once in the browser you can read more about this marker by clicking on the D5S1470 item in the main browser display or you can read about the STS track by clicking on the blue/gray bar to the left of the track in the main browser display or on the link above the pulldown menu for the track.
If you would like more information on how to use our tools there is an excellent tutorial on the Open Helix website: http://www.openhelix.com/downloads/ucsc/ucsc_home.shtml Hopefully this information is enough to get you started. If you have further questions or require clarification feel free to contact the mailing list at genome at soe.ucsc.edu.
