To whom it may concern: I am confused. I am looking for the lift over files for hg17 to hg18. I navigated to this page and the instructions at the top seem to make perfect sense. However, the lift over files listed on this page seem to all indicate lift overs from hg18 (exclusively) to various other species, which I don't really understand. How could there be a lift over of the human genome to the coordinates of the other species? The file I need, which is the lift over from hg17 to hg18, is absent.
Where might I obtain this file? Please forgive me if I've just completely misunderstood. Also, all of the lift over executables for Mac OS are for the PowerPC, is there a x86 version or can I just use the executable for linux, which is designed for x86?
