Dear UCSC Browser friends,

I've noticed an issue with autoscaling when displaying custom tracks.
Please see attached pdf. In the displayed window (over Vamp3 gene), the
custom track in red has entries at certain coordinates, with y-values
ranging from 2 to 4. The autoscale therefore sets the y axis to range
from 2 to 4, but this causes all the entries with y-values of 2 to fall
just below the displayed range of 2 to 4. It seems that the y-scale
should always be floored at 0 (when displaying positive values)?

Alternatively, would the "correct" procedure for generating custom
WIG/BED/etc files be to always pad each region with an artificial entry
with a y-value of zero?

Thanks,

Ted Karginov
