Hi, The file "cytoBand.txt.gz" can be found in the hg18 Assembly: http://hgdownload.cse.ucsc.edu/goldenPath/hg18/database/cytoBand.txt.gz
It's also in earlier assemblies too, e.g., http://hgdownload.cse.ucsc.edu/goldenPath/hg17/database/cytoBand.txt.gz However, I can't find it in the latest hg19 Assembly: e.g., this doesn't exist: http://hgdownload.cse.ucsc.edu/goldenPath/hg19/database/cytoBand.txt.gz Searching through the http://hgdownload.cse.ucsc.edu/goldenPath/hg19/database/ listing I couldn't find anything similar.
