Hi Angelika,

Unfortunately, is not particularly easy to download images from the browser in
batch. First, you will need to construct a URL that will return the images you
are interested in (these FAQs can help you get started:
http://genome.ucsc.edu/FAQ/FAQlink.html and
http://genome.ucsc.edu/FAQ/FAQcustom.html#custom5). After you have constructed
your URL, you can use wget to get the PNG image (further instructions here:
https://lists.soe.ucsc.edu/pipermail/genome/2006-January/009607.html).

It is worth noting our conditions of use on our front page that states
"Program-driven use of this software is limited to a maximum of one hit every
15 seconds and no more than 5,000 hits per day."

I hope this information is helpful. Please feel free to contact the mail list
again if you require further assistance.

Best,
Mary

Subject: [Genome] batch processing images

Hi,

I was wondering it there was a way to create (and download) graphical output
from the genome browser in batch mode, lets say for a 1000 genomic regions.
I guess it would be somehow possible to upload a custom track for each
region and capture the image, but I am not sure what your server policy is
on this.

Thanks,

Angelika
