These solutions are rather exotic, but you could also try one of these:

- "andlinux":This is a modifed linux which actually runs on your existing
windows installation, without any special installation requirements or
modifications. You will have a relatively normal linux installation, access
to your files and can run linux binaries from within andlinux.

- "virtual box": You install virtualbox.org on your machine (mac or
windows), then go to http://virtualboximages.com/ and download an image of a
virtual linux machine (like Fedora, Debian or Ubuntu) and run it from within
virtual box. You would then have a complete linux machine running inside
your normal operating system that you can start when needed.

- "cloud": You could take your credit card, register with a cloud provider
like Amazon AWS, transfer the UCSC tools and your files on the virtual
machine provided by the cloud provider and transfer back the results.

cheers
