Hi,
I found some discrepancies in the canonical gene list, the canonical gene list
was to contain one gene per transcribed locus. But when we checked in the
context of gene duplication events we found quite a number of overlapping
transcripts. For example GYLTL1B has two canonical genes but the trancripts are
overlapping at the same locus. The same is the case for KIAA706 and NFASC. How
can you explain the discrepancies and how can how should we treat these genes?
Thanks a lot,
Stefanie
