Hello Jim, Thanks for first checking the mail list archives and for sending the results of your "uname -a" command. That's very helpful.
It appears that you are on a 32-bit Linux system. The binary files that you downloaded are built for a 64-bit system. That explains why they are not working on your machine. If you have a 64-bit Linux machine available to you, they will work there. We *could* make 32-bit binary files for you, but when you're working with bigWig and bigBed files, usually a 32-bit machine runs out of memory pretty quickly.
