Dear UCSC Genome Bioinformatics Group members,
In early 2008, we downloaded the file 'wgRna.txt' from the sno/miRNA track
of the hg18 human genome. It contained information for a total of 421
microRNAs. Now, we want to repreat some analysis on this same file, so we
downloaded it again. Surprisingly, we found this time 'wgRna.txt' (downloaded
from ftp://hgdownload.cse.ucsc.edu/goldenPath/hg18/database/wgRna.txt.gz)
contains information for 718 microRNAs. We found that this file was last
modified on Sep 20, 2009. Is it possible that the current 'wgRna.txt' file has
been somewhat 'contaminated' with new information from hg19? Where can I find
the pure hg18 'wgRna.txt', or one that was last modified before Jan 2008?
      Thank you very much!

Best regards

Hui Yu, MS in bioinformatics
