Hi Payam, In order to use the itemRgb feature, you need to add a track line to your custom track. The colors won't display if itemRgb is listed after the browser position line, which is your current set-up.
Change this: browser position chr1:196000000-198000000 itemRgb="On" to: browser position chr1:196000000-198000000 track name="MyCustomTrackWithColor" description="My Custom Track With Color" visibility=2 itemRgb="On" Please don't hesitate to contact the mail list again if you have any further questions.
