Hello Hans, You may download a list of human genes from the Downloads page. On the main UCSC Genome Bioinformatics page, click on 'Downloads' located on the left-side menu. On the following page, click 'Human' then 'Annotation Database'. This will take you to http://hgdownload.cse.ucsc.edu/goldenPath/hg19/database/, where you can download the following file(s): knownGene.txt.gz knownCanonical.txt.gz knownGene contains all transcripts, whereas knownCanonical contains one transcript variant for each gene.
I hope this helps. Please contact us again at [email protected] if you have any further questions. --- Luvina Guruvadoo UCSC Genome Bioinformatics Group Prof. Dr. Hans W.
