Hi Ji,

Sorry for the delayed response. Please see the description page for the Ensembl
genes track (http://genome.ucsc.edu/cgi-bin/hgTrackUi?db=hg19&g=ensGene). There
is a link to the "process" page which describes "The Ensembl Annotation
Process". If you don't find the answer that you are looking for we suggest that
you contact Ensembl which provided the data for this track.

Hope this helps!

Subject: [Genome] Changes in ensembl annotation

Hi,

I found in UCSC table browser that most human Ensembl genes (release 61)
are not assigned with a known gene symbol, which is very different from the
previous released ensembl data in UCSC table browser. I am wondering is this
change because of any quality control criteria recently used by UCSC?
Thanks,

Ji
