Hi,

I am Jing , a fourth year Ph.D in computational biology department in
University of Southern California. Currently I am trying to use the phyloP
conservation score in UCSC in hg19. However, I found that the value
distribution is different from that in hg18. For example, except the 0
zeros, the hg18 scores should have the absolute value greater than 0.301,
which is log10(0.5). But for the hg19 data, I extracted some value from the
genome and found a range of [0.055,0.655] for the positive data. Is there
any change in the definition of score between hg18 and hg19? I did not find
a clear documentation for this.

It would be great if you might give me some explanations on the score
change, or some link which might be helpful. Thank you very much on this
issue.

Best Regards,
Jing
