Hello Reza,

Chain files are text files with the following format:
http://genome.ucsc.edu/goldenPath/help/chain.html

You can open them with any text editor, but if you downloaded chain 
files from UCSC, then they will have been compressed using gzip.  You 
will need to decompress them first.  FASTA formatted files are also just 
text files, but may need to be decompressed.
