hi,

I would like to know if the recent OMIM information change (as 16 June 2011 -
Re-engineered OMIM Tracks Released) has led to the removal of the
omimGene.txt.gz files on the database ftp site. now that the information is
even more useful (variants, genes and phenotypes) I don't understand why it
can't be downloaded as other tracks handled by your browser.

if the current OMIM release policy has changed, would it be possible to still
get a copy of the old omimGene.txt.gz files for hg18 and hg19 coordinates? I
know OMIM data can be downloaded from omim.org, but it is a shame not to be
able to reach the work already done by UCSC of parsing OMIM information into
these very useful tracks .

kindly regards,
jorge.
