Hi Daofeng,

The DCC number is assigned to each experiment based on when files for
that experiment were originally received by UCSC. The best way to see
what files are associated with a DCC accession, is to use file search:
http://genome.ucsc.edu/cgi-bin/hgFileSearch?db=mm9

Where you see the pull-down menus towards the bottom, select UCSC
Accession from the top one and then enter your accession of interest
into the text field.

This will pull up all the files associated with wgEncodeEM001436 and
will allow you to download them. If you click on the little folder icon,
it will take you to a list of all the files in that track (other
tissue/antibody combinations from that institution).

You can also use the advanced tab of track search to see what data
corresponding to that accession are available for display in the browser:
http://genome.ucsc.edu/cgi-bin/hgTracks?db=mm9&hgt_tSearch=1&tsCurTab=advancedTab

We submit the files to GEO, in most cases, after we've released the
files to our public server. Then there is some lag in time between when
they're available at GEO and when they have their GEO numbers displayed
in the browser. However, if you look at our genome-preview server,
you'll get a better idea of which files have GEO numbers. GEO accessions
are added fairly quickly to genome-preview, but because of our many
competing demands, may take a while to get out to the public site.
Genome-preview (http://genome-preview.ucsc.edu/) allows users to preview
tracks/data before they have been through our quality assurance process.
Because genome-preview contains pre-release data, please use discretion
when downloading and viewing data from genome-preview as it may still be
undergoing changes and improvements.

Please contact the mail list ([email protected]) again if you have any
further questions.
