Hi DeQuincy, One of our engineers suggests using command line utilities instead of an editor to do this. For example:
|cat header.txt coverage.txt> coverage.bed Then load coverage.bed in the Genome Browser. | I hope this helps. Please contact us again at [email protected] if you have any further questions. --- Luvina Guruvadoo UCSC Genome Bioinformatics Group On 2/23/2012 10:53 AM, DeQuincy Prescott (UCL) wrote: > I have recently changed to OSX Lion and am using MS Word 2008 Version 12.3.0 > to save the header to the BedGraph file generated by the genomeCoverageBed > from BedTools. > > > I keep getting the error: > Error File 'size-test.txt' - Unrecognized format type=bedGraph line 2 of > custom track > > What am I doing wrong. > > Also the BedGraph files are too big to work with in word a text file of 1G! > What should I use to manipulate the files? > > Thank you for advice. > > ----------------------------------------------------- > DeQuincy Prescott > Sen Res Tech to Professor Bhattacharya > ----------------------------------- > about our group > http://tinyurl.com/3264vn > ------------------------------------ > Mobile: +44 (0) 7590 695 435 > Office: +44 (0) 207 608 6951 > ----------------------------------------------------- > > _______________________________________________ > Genome maillist - [email protected] > https://lists.soe.ucsc.edu/mailman/listinfo/genome _______________________________________________ Genome maillist - [email protected] https://lists.soe.ucsc.edu/mailman/listinfo/genome
