Hello, Luke, Is it possible you are using a mirror site? None of our blat servers should be using blat2. Sometimes we need to shift the designations of the machines running blat for various organisms and the mirror you are using may not have adjusted to keep pace.
If you could tell me which genome assembly (hg19, mm10, etc) you are using, I could test that particular blat server to confirm it is working. Please check that you are using http://genome.ucsc.edu/cgi-bin/hgBlat best wishes, --b0b kuhn ucsc genome bioinformatics group On 4/12/2012 5:31 AM, L.S.Cox wrote: > Dear Sir/Madam, > > I would like to use the UCSC In-Silico PCR to check my primer design, however > the server seems to be down stating 'Couldn't find host blat2. h_errno 1 > Success Sorry, the BLAT/iPCR server seems to be down.
