Hello, Ya. If all you want are the files, you can download them from http://hgdownload.cse.ucsc.edu/goldenPath/hg19/database/. Scroll down until you see the snpxxxx files. Note that these files will not provide you with the gene IDs that correspond with the SNPs. If you would like to associate your list of SNP IDs with their respective gene IDs, you can do so by using another tool called Galaxy created and maintained by Penn State Univerity (https://main.g2.bx.psu.edu/). Please also see this previously-answered mailing list question: https://lists.soe.ucsc.edu/pipermail/genome/2006-December/012343.html. Any Galaxy-related questions should be directed to Galaxy support.
Please contact us again at [email protected] if you have any further questions. --- Steve Heitner UCSC Genome Bioinformatics Group -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Ya Hu Sent: Saturday, April 21, 2012 2:27 AM To: [email protected]; Qiliang Ding Subject: [Genome] for gene annotation file Dear sir or madam, I currently have SNP positions mapped to hg19 and I am looking for which genes they are in. could I ask for annotation file containing name, position or other information of all genes on human chromosome?
