Hello.

Yes, the liftOver tool has the ability to convert coordinates from more
than just the old assembly to the new assembly of the same organism (as
with mm8 to mm9). If you look at the web-based liftOver tool at
http://genome.ucsc.edu/cgi-bin/hgLiftOver, you will see that if you set
"Original Genome" and "Original Assembly" to mouse/mm8, there are many
options under "New Genome" other than mouse. The liftOver tool gives you
the equivalent coordinates in whichever genome/assembly you choose.

Please contact us again at [email protected] if you have any further
questions.

Subject: [Genome] Question about liftover

BODY{FONT-FAMILY: Gulim;FONT-SIZE: 10pt;} DIV,P {margin-top:2px;margin-
bottom:2px;}
Hi,all.
I have a question about LiftOver tool.
I tried to conversion mm8 to mm9, but...
It was my mistake, I click human.
But liftover tool was running!
So, Question is... Is it possible convert genome size difference species?
I mean, convert mouse to human or human to mouse??
thanks.
