Hi, I would just like to enquire about scripted access to the mysql version of the genome browser database. I just wanted to find out if there are any guidelines regarding scripted access to the database. I would like to use my own python based command line tool to extract data from genome browser automatically. The following guidelines are available for the interactive site:
"Program-driven use is limited to a maximum of one hit every 15 seconds and no more than 5,000 hits per day." Is there any similar advice for the mysql version? Speed is not a priority for me, so I would like to build in appropriate pauses to avoid excessive use. Could you advise me on appropriate usage.
