Can't say that I've used the motherboard before, but that chipset works fine for me on my various A8V's around here at work (and at home). I'm pretty sure they use the same via chipset. I'm also using 2004.3 without problem, although I upgraded to it, didn't install from scratch. The CFLAGS I'm using that seem to work fine are these:
CFLAGS="-march=k8 -O2 -pipe -fomit-frame-pointer -frename-registers" Haven't had any problems with these, although they are fairly conservative. I do believe that the liveCD's come with sshd that you can crank up to login remotely for handling the installation. I'm pretty sure I did this once before...... -Drew On Thu, 13 Jan 2005 18:07:54 +0200, Yassen Damyanov <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Never touched a 64bit OS (althout I have half a dozen of Gentoo > x86 servers installed and running here and there). > > Now I need to uregntly setup a remote 64bit system (Athlon64): > Please help the n00b! > > (1) ./experimental/amd64/livecd/ or ./releases/amd64/2004.3/livecd/ > > (2) Any hints about FEATURES that fit well the server purpose? > Suggested stable CFLAGS?
