Administration time can be high or low depending on how carefully you follow the upgrade instructions. Band width consumption isn't especially high for the system packages. Compilation time I would estimate to have been over an hour on my 1.8ghz system. If you want to run emerge --update --deep world at the same time you'll consume more band width with correspondingly longer compilation time. -- [email protected] mailing list
