In theory, you should be able to use mono of some packages, splits of
other packages that you don't want everything of.  IOW, mono of kdebase,
but individual packages for a game or two out of kdegames.  You will
/not/, however, be able to do kdebase, and konqueror, tho, because
konqueror is part of kdebase, so the two block each other, and if you have
the mono kdebase package already installed, you shouldn't really need the
individual konqueror package anyway, since you already have it, in kdebase.

In practice, I'm not sure if the dependencies are set up to allow going
split on a /different/ mono package or not, but again in theory, even if
not, you should be able to ignore that with --nodeps, assuming you have
all the /other/ deps installed, as long as the split is from a
category-package you do /not/ have installed.  (Again with the kpat and
kdebase should be OK, but konqueror and kdebase won't be, example.)
