Thanks for the reply.  I am running a version 1 Shuttle SN85G4 and I set
similar bios setting, I think, but without my shell script, the fans always
run at a constant speed, and don't change speed as the temperature rises.

Do any other Shuttle owners have variable fan speeds with varying CPU
speeds?
