[posted to the list and mailed to the above poster, as well, for reasons obvious from the above. Please resoond to the list, if possible.] It's appearing on the list. My guess is that you haven't gotten a response yet because few folks on the list use Windowmaker, so they have no knowledge base of the problem domain. (I'm personally a KDE person.) It's possible you'd get more Windowmaker folks if you posted to the .desktop group/list (newsgroup, here, thru gmane.org's list2news gateway), or the .user group/list, altho of course those users will naturally more likely be on legacy x86_32, than on x86_64, aka amd64. The best I can /guess/, from your description, is that the KDE apps and firefox don't see the windowmaker WM as providing the WM service, likely because it lacks whatever interface they are looking for and expect support for. Not being a windowmaker user, however, I haven't the foggiest whether that's a problem with the windowmaker WM itself, or simply with its config. However, it doesn't appear on the surface to be an amd64-specific problem, so it's quite possible x86 and other users will recognize the issue and be able to help, particularly if it's simply a config problem. -- Duncan - List replies preferred.
