I just read an article about that topic, and had a similar problem as well.. some retard HSBC supporter telling me its Linuxes fault that there web servers fail... tho they probably run on Linux lol. I can't remember the title of the article but I think it was Newsforge. It was about never telling support that you use Linux (when they tell you to restart just play a game for a couple of minutes...), and if the company supports Linux tell them you're using one of the Distros they support, because, <flame> as every expert will confirm, Gentoo Linux is COMPLETELY different from RHEL. Therefore any problem MUST lie with your "communist" decision to use a non-commercial OS, and not with the hardware/software that you contacted them about..</flame> Saying you use Linux often just serves support as an excuse to knock you of the line straight away :(
