Hi folks,

I've been trying to get DRI working for my Matrox G550 with XOrg 6.8.2-r6
and gentoo-sources-2.6.13-r4m using x11-drm-20050807 as described by the
Gentoo hardware 3d acceleration guide.

The problem seems to have to do with DMA:
(II) MGA(0): [drm] installed DRM signal handler
(II) MGA(0): [DRI] installation complete
(EE) MGA(0): [drm] Failed to initialize DMA! (-1007)
(II) MGA(0): [drm] removed 1 reserved context for kernel
(II) MGA(0): [drm] unmapping 8192 bytes of SAREA 0xffffc20000039000 at
0x2aaaadf41000
(==) MGA(0): Direct rendering disabled

For more details see the attached XOrg log.

These are the steps I have taken:
1) checked that drm is disabled in kernel and that mtrr are enabled
2) checked that /dev/misc/agpgart and /dev/dri/card0 are available

Any ideas oder pointers?

Thanks in advance,
Peter
