That's what I thought too, but for an unrelated to this mail thread reason after "mount, chroot, grub-install /dev/hda" grub-install gives some strange error. Anyways, this grub error is unrelated and I wouldnt want to pollute the thread with this. So can someone say why "noinitrd" doesn't seem to work anymore starting with 2005.1 ?
