emerge -v --oneshot emul-linux-x86-glibc and I get the following result: ... >>> Completed installing emul-linux-x86-glibc-1000 into /var/tmp/portage/emul-linux-x86-glibc-1000/image/ >>> Merging app-emulation/emul-linux-x86-glibc-1000 to / * 32bit libc is now provided by sys-libc/glibc. >>> Regenerating /etc/ld.so.cache... >>> app-emulation/emul-linux-x86-glibc-1000 merged. ... Which from what I can understand what I need to emerge is sys-libc/glibc. Well sys-libc/glibc does not exist??? What does exist is sys-libs/glibc. But when I try to emerge sys-libs/glibc I get the following error: ..... checking size of long double... configure: error: cannot compute sizeof (long double), 77 See `config.log' for more details. !!! ERROR: sys-libs/glibc-2.3.5-r2 failed. !!! Function glibc_do_configure, Line 927, Exitcode 1 !!! failed to configure glibc !!! If you need support, post the topmost build error, NOT this status message. ..... Seems that I am in a catch 22 situation. Any ideas? Clemente -- [email protected] mailing list
