Works well here with alsa & jack. First I had crashes when using it with
alsa compiled in. Looking at the faq using alsa & jack is the better
solution when using rosegarden.
But I use Jack && alsa .... but rosegarden crashes on install - maybe
I should remove "arts" from my make.conf ??

good idea. I suppose jack is conflicting with arts, because they are
using the same audio resources.
notice default script before jack start in qjackctl : killall artsd
