That depends, if the package in question is a library (or provides one) that is used by packages compiled with gcc-4.1.1 it can cause problems. The same applies reversed, it may cause trouble if the package uses a gcc-4.1.1 compiled library. The only way to find out is try. But it's been painfully clear that gcc-4.1.1 and gcc-3* don't mix that good. -- [email protected] mailing list
