So when you try to run `umount /mnt/hdd_extern_1` as a plain ole user you get a segfault? If that's the case then I'd say it's probably a bug in either umount or libuuid. Either way I'm sure the devs would be able to help you if you file a bug. You should probably include a backtrace with your bug report.
